Aligning Intention and Emotions with Your Energetic Heart

  1. The Heart

1A. The Physical Heart

When you first manifest into physical being, you started off as a cell (sphere). You start by multiplying inwards, before expanding outwards. Then it becomes what is known as the Egg of Life as a Star Tetrahedron.

A Star Tetrahedron is 8 cells, which is considered the basis of the 8 major chakras in our body. As it keeps expanding, the heart becomes the first organ of your body, to appear in physical reality.

1B. The Heart’s Electromagnetic Field

Both the brain and the heart are electromagnetic generators. However, the electromagnetic field of the heart is way more powerful than that of the brain. The heart is 100 times electronically stronger and up to 5,000 magnetically stronger than the brain.

Serious heart-blowing stuff!

Together they make up the reality that we live in, electrical and magnetic = electromagnetic field.

The electromagnetic field of the heart not only has a profound effect around the human body, but also on its surroundings.

The heart’s signals have a
profound effect on the brain.

1C. HeartMath Institute (HMI)

The nonprofit HeartMath Institute is an organization with over 19 years of research on the physiology of stress, emotions and the connections between the heart and the brain. Their studies have revolutionized the way we can live.

The spaces between the heartbeat is called the Heart Rate Variability (HRV). Regardless of whether we are healthy or otherwise, our hearts beat irregularly.

By understanding the way our hearts are beating, we glean a better understanding on our adaptability to our environments.

If new input from the environment causes you tension, e.g. your partner picking a fight with you, it will show up in your heart rate as a volatile chaotic mess.

So what are the implications here?

  • Firstly, HRV shows your physiological resilience (Functional ability to cope with stress).
  • Secondly, it indicates your degree of behavioral flexibility (Behavioral adaptability to situations).

HeartMath Institute  (HMI) has found that one of the factors that affect our heart changing rhythm is …. our feelings and emotions! When our varied heart rate is plotted over time, the overall shape of the waveform is called the heart rhythm pattern.

The emotions that we are feeling directly impacts our heart rhythm pattern, which reveal to us how our body is functioning.


2A. Negative Emotions

Negative emotions such as anger, frustration causes the heart pattern to be chaotic and jagged. Physiologically speaking, it indicates that the heart is not harmonious with itself.

It’s like trying to run on the treadmill on an uphill terrain, with a sprained ankle. It is inefficient and unproductive. Not to mention, potentially harmful and dangerous for the body too.

Similarly, when negative emotions arises, it also causes our body to function in an inefficient and unproductive manner. It uses up all our internal resources, and causes rapid wear and tear to our system.

The problem escalates if you are experiencing these negative emotions frequently, or for an extended period of time.

2B. Positive Emotions

On the other hand, when we experience uplifting emotions, our heart rhythm pattern becomes highly ordered, smooth and harmonious. Our wave forms start to imitate that of a rainbow or uplifting music.

That’s when we are aligned with a more efficient body system. We also connect better with others, with Mother Nature, and with our environment. The interaction is harmonious and synchronistic.

3. Emotional Self-Regulation

Studies by HMI has shown that maintaining positive emotions shifts the entire body system. This phenomenon is known scientifically as psychophysiological coherence.

Woah what a big word! Let’s break it down.

  • Psycho = psychological meaning mental and emotions
  • Physiological = physical body
  • Coherence = ‘systematic connections’ = harmony
  • Therefore, psychophysiological coherence = Harmony between body, mind and emotions

The Heartmath quick coherence technique can be used to balance thoughts and emotions, you can achieve energy, mental clarity and feel better.

Otherwise, you can focus on any kind of breathworks, to generate psychophysiological coherence.


Because your breathing is intimately connected
with your heart.

3A. Breathwork

So if ever you find yourself in a place of mental or emotional chaos, work on

  1. Your breathing, and on
  2. Generating positive, loving emotions.

  • Focus on your heart as you do long and deep breathing.
  • Recall a loving moment from the past, or
  • think of your pet or loved ones, or
  • a beautiful place in Nature,
  • and generate feelings of love, gratitude and appreciation.

In the field of neurocardiology, scientists have discovered that the heart possesses its own intrinsic nervous system, a network of brain cells with over 40,000 neurons.

What does that mean?

It means that the heart has the ability to independently sense and process information. It can make decisions, and even learn and remember. It is an intelligence system in and of itself. In short,

YES! You can think with your heart!

4. Heart and Emotions

Studies have shown that the heart is the key component of the emotional system. The heart not only responds to emotions, but the signals it sends out dramatically affects the quality of the emotion experienced from moment to moment.

Our heart is vital in
accessing our intuition.

Contrary to popular beliefs, the real boss is our heart and not our brain. The brain receive orders from our heart, rather than our heart taking orders from our brain.

4A. Healing of Trapped Emotions

When your negative emotions run wild, you will lose the ability to think clearly, remember lessons, reason and make effective decisions.

That is why it is important not only to be mindful to not allow negative emotions to take control of the present moment, it is also crucial for us to process and release negative emotions from the past, that is still influencing our thoughts, beliefs and behaviors, hindering our goals and intentions.

There are plenty of ways that you can do that. You can do psychotherapy, meditation, journaling and energy healing, just to name a few.

For example, Aroma Freedom Technique (AFT) identifies the negative memories, thoughts and feelings from the past. These thoughts are processed and released through the use of essential oils in a 12 steps psychotherapy process.

Emotion Code does that by identifying and releasing the trapped emotions, by communicating with your subsconscious mind.

5. Intention

Intention is the seed of all dreams and desires. It is the driving force behind the fruition of our wants and needs.

The classic Vedic text known as the Upanishads declares,

“You are what your
deepest desire is.
As your desire is,
so is your intention.
As your intention is,
so is your will.
As your will is,
so is your deed.
As your deed is,
so is your destiny.”

An intention directs your consciousness, your will, your mind and your personal power into a specific direction.

By aligning with your heart, connecting with the feelings stirred by your desire, and committing to inspired actions, you nurture your intention, like a seed into the humble beginnings of a seedling, that can grow and flourish.

6. Aligning Intention and Emotions with Your Energetic Heart

So just for a moment, imagine this. By using breathwork, slow down your hectic mind, and connect with your heart.  Generate uplifting feelings and the expanding sensation of gratitude.

From that powerful place of peace and coherence, set an intention that you want to manifest into the world. Using the power of your energetic heart and your daily inspired actions,

I thoroughly enjoyed watching E-motion. Apparently, there is a 2014 version. And this is a summary description on IMDb,

E-Motion is a factual documentary that explores how human emotions affect the physiology of the human body and how once negative emotions are replaced with positive emotions bona fide physical changes occur. A team of emotion experts from around the world share their wisdom and negative emotion clearing methods to show humanity the path to health and enlightenment.

The amazing accolades collected by the 2014 version is impressive.

It has been inspiring and thought-provoking for me. It is such a joy to share the precious gems in it with you. I know you are busy so here you have it in a easy to read format. Do read it mindfully! 🙂



  • When we don’t work through our stuff, it manifests as diseases.
  • Every dis-ease that we experience are emotions, memories that are buried in our subconscious, that’s been triggered.
  • All organisms in nature are designed for short term stress, except for humans. We have the capacity to recall memories for a long time and stressing our system all over again when we do that.
  • The protective mechanism in our mind suppress these memories and feelings, not just in our minds, but also in our bodies. The evidence is muscular tension.
  • The human body is really nothing but energy zipping around in the speed of light.
  • Emotions means energy in motion. It’s our thoughts that create our emotions. And our emotions create our behavior.
  • When you hear people telling the same story over and over again, they are really suffering in their story.
  • We have been taught to resist the things that don’t feel good, instead of feeling the things that don’t feel good.
  • We look outside for answers. But the answers are inside because our feelings are inside of us.
  • 9% of our energy is used to suppress energy from our past.
  • Your biology is your biography.
  • Symptoms are the body crying out, telling us that there is something wrong there.
  • We are not made wrong. We are not broken. We are not missing anything.
  • If we allow the emotions to last for hours or days, it’s called the mood. If we keep allowing the same emotions to last for weeks or months, it’s called the temperament. If we keep at it for months or years, its called a personality trait.
  • So often people think that they have forgiven somebody, but they haven’t. Because their bodies are expressing the unforgiveness.
  • Being willing to be vulnerable and feeling again, is the first step to healing and finding our joy.
  • The placebo effect is proving that the mind can heal itself, despite of the sugar pill or the fake operation.
  • The subconscious mind acts as a broadcasting signal.
  • True transformations comes when we break free from the chains of the emotional addiction. The side effect of true transformation is called joy.
  • The emotional patterns we carry in our subconscious mind influence our relationship with money, and our relationship with each other.
  • The subconscious is a holographic archive of your existence, of every moment of your life.
  • The same emotions that is going on outside of you is also going on, inside of you. The blood is pumping these chemicals; of frustration, of jealousy, and of anxiety.
  • Our cells have these protein receptors site that binds these molecules of emotions. The amazing thing about these receptors, is that it is the same receptors that binds heroine. So guess what? We are addicted to our emotions.
  • We can take one energy of any type, and transform it into another energy.
  • The Ho’Oponopono Process:
    1 – I am sorry.
    2- Please forgive me.
    3 – Thank you.
    4- I love you.
  • If I wasn’t afraid, I would …
  • It is not fear that keeps us trapped. It is hiding from fear.
  • The biggest cloud to our perception is fear.
  • We move from the selfish state, which is driven by hormones and stress, to the selfless state, where we really want to contribute, and to make a difference.

This movie has been heartening for me, given that I am also starting to place more emphasis in the healing aspect of my work as well.

As a newly certified Aroma Freedom Technique (AFT) facilitator who can use the AFT process to help clients clear blocked feelings, emotions and memories from the past, you can imagine how in sync I felt with the movie.

Let’s all do the work. Allow yourself to feel your emotions again.


For the next 7 days, for at least once a day, pause for a moment and ask yourself.

1. How do I feel right now? (One word, feeling word)

2. What do I need right now? What can I give to myself right now?

3. If you can, record/journal it.

4. Review your journal at the end of the week.
It will be interesting to see what new insights you get at the end of it.

5. Share your insights with me with you like! 🙂

6. Share this post with someone else and encourage them to do the exercise.

If you struggle to identify your feelings, trust me, it is very normal. And you can use the emotion wheel to help you. So hey, be patient and be kind to yourself in the process. 🙂

How can the Emotion Code and Body Code help me?

The most popular question I get asked when people learn about the Emotion Code and Body Code is, “How will it help me?”  To give you an idea, let me share a few words from my clients:

“It is amazing and helpful…. For myself, incidents that I forgot or I thought doesn’t bother me consciously …were still [trapped] in my subconscious.  After [we] released the trapped emotions and heart wall, I realised the heaviness in my heart was actually the heart wall.  Immediately after the session, I felt so relieved and light!”

“It’s amazing to experience how effectively Emotion Code has helped me to release the trapped emotions and unseen negative energies… pulling me out from my very depressed times.  I am now a happier person with a clearer mind.”

As described above, the Emotion Code/Body Code are very good at clearing unhelpful and unnecessary energy out of you, so you can reduce your physical and emotional stress and feel better physically, emotionally, mentally and maybe even spiritually!

The procedure is simple: 1) find the unhelpful energy trapped inside, and 2) release it intentionally with a few swipes of the hand.  How can negative energy be cleared from the body just like that and achieve all this change?  To answer this question, I’ll try to describe what’s going on inside of us, from the most minute level upwards.

When we magnify any object down to its smallest possible particle, it will look like a tiny dot whizzing around in vast empty space.  This is a subatomic particle.  These particles behave like both a wave and matter.  When particles with similar frequencies come together, they form the objects we see before us.

Let’s zoom out for a minute.  In an (albeit controversial) experiment conducted sometime during the late 1960s to early 1970s by Dr. Cleve Backster, a polygrapher with the CIA, white blood cells of several donors were placed in vials and hooked up with EEG electrodes so their electrical responses could be measured.  Then the donors received various stimuli to elicit a spontaneous emotional response.  No matter where the vials were placed – in the same room, separate rooms or distances of up 12km – the cells in the vials responded at exactly the same time the donor was receiving the emotional stimulus.

What does this mean?  It implies that the cells and their hosts “communicated” with each other regardless of distance.  How?  Possibly because of something called quantum entanglement, a phenomenon of quantum physics.  Entanglement is a relationship between two particles which exists regardless of distance or time, creating a correlated pair, and the behavior of that relationship can be influenced by an “outside observer”.

How does that apply to us?  It suggests we aren’t as static or as immune to energy as we think!  If we’re made up of billions and billions of these particles, that would mean we’re capable of being influenced on a quantum level by well, almost anything.  Because everything – toxins, pathogens, nutrients – is made up of the exact same particles we’re made up of; they just have different frequencies.

Emotions and thoughts are frequencies too, even though they aren’t made of matter.  They seem influence us in a similar way the “outside observer” influences the way particles behave in quantum entanglement.  When we use intentional thought plus magnetic energy to “clear” something out of us, what we’re doing is sending in a different frequency to cancel out the frequency we’ve detected: toxin, pathogen or negative emotion.  Once a frequency gets canceled out, it’s gone.

I hope this gives you an idea of what’s happening on a subatomic level.  Now let’s move on to the physical and emotional level.

When our bodies are healthy and whole, our thoughts and emotions are usually healthy and whole, too.  This is because our bodies are producing molecules and hormones that in combination, make us feel good.  And when we’re feeling good emotionally, we prompt the body to release molecules and hormones which help our bodies be physically well.  It’s a cycle.

When the body is under stress due to illness, injury, bad lifestyle habits, difficult situations or traumatic experiences, it’s not easy for the body to produce those molecules and hormones that make us feel good because it’s too busy trying to fix imbalances.  Such as repairing cell damage, clearing out toxins and metabolic waste, maintaining organ health or fighting off pathogens.  As we start feeling less upbeat, our thoughts and emotions might lean towards the negative, which could become reinforced by more negative perceptions as we begin viewing life through a different lens.  This in turn could put more stress on the body – again, becoming a cycle.

The relationship between body and mind is intertwined.  Research shows that there is a correlation between stress and disease. “Stress” is many things: emotions, thoughts, memories, beliefs, physical and/or emotional trauma, inflammation, infection, toxicity, deficiency, malfunction, misalignment, offensive energy and more.  The role of alternative therapies is to help people relieve their stress so they can enable their bodies to heal faster and maintain a sense of wellbeing longer.  What makes the Emotion Code/Body Code stand out is that it’s designed to remove or correct all these stresses quickly, safely and permanently.

So!  To finally answer the question, how exactly does the Emotion Code and Body Code help, here’s a list (in no particular order) of some changes I’ve noticed in the people who have received this work:

  1. Feel lighter
  2. Feel happier
  3. See/hear/taste/eat/sleep better
  4. Feel less/no more pain
  5. Remember things better
  6. Understand things better
  7. Make better decisions
  8. Cope with unpleasant/unhappy situations better
  9. Feel more positive/optimistic
  10. Feel calmer
  11. Feel more relaxed
  12. Recover faster
  13. Feel more confident
  14. Feel more energized


Please keep in mind, not everyone responds the same way.  But on the whole, the changes are noticeable; you do feel the difference – sometimes immediately!  All it takes on your part is to bring to the session a willingness to heal; the energy work will follow accordingly.  I hope you too will find it helpful, just as many others have before you 🙂
